Kenjo (剣場)
Sword Dojo in VR
Kenjo was my final individual project for Creative Media Design 2020.
Originally the product was intended to have taken advantage of motion capture, and Unity's simple to use VR system.
Due to the Covid-19 Outbreak as of March 2020, I was unable to do motion capture as intended, so as a solution I used Unity's inbuilt animation system to animate the models.
My thought process during Kenjo was to transport the user to Edo Period Japan (1603-1867) .
By using background audio and basing the design of surviving dojos from that period.
The techniques shown in Kenjo are from a Japanese Koryu System (Old martial arts school)
Kenjo is available for Oculus Quest and Oculus Platforms.
Room
Room was my first attempt at a full VR experience and was my Final Group project in university.
I was in charge of Programming, Level Design, and Sound Design.
Room runs using Steam VR
The Room was inspired by Silent Hills PT, The player made their way through several Identacle rooms, with each having sight differences depending on the user's actions, resulting in two possible endings for the game.
Scenario: Z
This game was created in Unity3d, and was inspired by Resident Evil Outbreak, and the late John Romero's Day of the Dead. The player was put into a scenario of their choosing.
During these scenarios, players would have to solve puzzles and get around obstacles to win the chosen scenario.
Scenario Z Took advantage of the Tool-set known as SabreCSG, which allowed me to create map geometry seamlessly.
Normal Pets
